The number one investment that marketers can make is in marketing

The number one investment that marketers can make is in marketing. It may seem obvious, but as a marketer, have you considered investing in yourself?

While traditional wisdom may suggest investing in stocks, real estate, or cryptocurrency, these may not be areas of expertise for you. As someone who knows how marketing works, why not invest in marketing?

Think about how much money you've made for your employer by investing their marketing budget wisely. Now, it's time to use that know-how to generate a return for yourself.

Here are some easy places to start:

- Become an affiliate and earn commissions by generating conversions through your marketing skills.

- Buy a business. Due to the largest transfer of wealth in history occurring from baby boomers who don't have anyone to leave their business to, 90% of these businesses will simply go away.

- Join the freelance economy and use your marketing tactics to help smaller clients.

The best part of marketing your own thing is that you'll pay even closer attention to detail on generating a good ROI as it's your money! Then, when you talk to clients, you can say you drink your own Kool-Aid. You can show them that you have road-tested the tactics you are prescribing.

Invest in yourself and your marketing skills. It's the best investment you can make.
