Richard Yelland is a filmmaker who explores the extremes of action sports and human storytelling. Powerful visuals and great performances are a trademark of his directorial work on projects for the HISTORY Channel, FUEL TV and Nike, to name a few. Richard's documentary film, "Floating: the Nathan Gocke Story," Executive Produced by Oscar nominee Morgan Spurlock ("Super Size Me"), is the inspirational story of 32 year-old Nathan Gocke who, after a surfing accident leaves him paralyzed, bravely pursues his dream to surf again. “Floating” was a 'Best Documentary' winner at the 2011 Marché du Film - Festival de Cannes Festival's 'American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase' and was awarded 'Best Documentary' at the 2010 New York City Short Film Festival. Richard received an Emmy nomination in the national public service category for "Pool", a PSA he wrote, directed and produced for the Life Rolls On Foundation
